Mr. Moore is a 1980 graduate of the Law School at the Catholic University of America, where he won the Miller
and Sutherland Cups in oral advocacy and served as Vice Chancellor of the Moot Court. At Catholic University
he completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Philosophy as a Basselin Fellow, graduating summa
cum laude. Mr. Moore is the President of Moore & Jackson, LLC, and former Vice-Chairman of the
Baltimore firm of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes. He has been a leader in law firm management for over fifteen years.
Mr. Moore has over 29 years of active trial experience, representing physicians, hospitals, attorneys and other
professionals in malpractice actions, employers in labor and discharge matters, manufacturers and distributors
in product actions and corporate and individual defendants in negligence and intentional torts. Dan has tried
cases in all state and federal courts in Maryland, and in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and California. He has
extensive appellate experience and has appeared in State and Federal Courts of Appeal over 30 times. He is
active in bar associations and community affairs, and was appointed in 2003 by the Governor to the Maryland
Judicial Nominating Committee for Harford County.
Dan is a frequent lecturer on trial techniques, and has written and lectured extensively on risk management,
medical legal issues, and First Amendment liabilities. Dan is married and keeps busy following the
activities of his five children.
